Daevaa, poorvakaalamuna maa pitarula dinamulaloa neevu chaesinapaninigoorchi maemu chevulaara vini yunnaamu maa pitarulu daanini maaku vivarimchiri
We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.

Neevu nee bhujabalamu chaeta anyajanulanu velllagotti maa pitarulanu naatitivi janamulanu nirmoolamu chaesi vaarini vyaapimpajaesitivi.
How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.

Vaaru tama khdgamuchaeta daeshamunu svaadheenaparachu konalaedu vaari baahuvu vaariki jayamiyyalaedu neevu vaarini kataakshimchitivi ganuka nee dkshinahstamae nee baahuvae nee mukhakaamtiyae vaariki vijayamu kalugajaesenu.
For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

Daevaa, neevae naa raajavu yaakoabunaku poornarkshana kaluga naajnyaapimchumu.
Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.

Neevalana maa viroadhulanu anachivaeyudumu nee naamamuvalananae, maameediki laechuvaarini maemu trokki vaeyudumu.
Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

Naenu naa vimtini nmmukonanu naa kttiyu nnnu rkshimpajaaladu
For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.

Maa shtruvula chaetiloanumdi mmmunu rkshimchu vaadavu neevae mmmunu dvaeshimchuvaarini sigguparachuvaadavu neevae.
But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.

Dinamella maemu daevuniyamdu atishayapaduchunnaamu nee naamamunubtti maemu nityamu krutjnyataastutulu chellimchuchunnaamu.(selaa.)
In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.

Ayitae ippudu neevu mmmunu vidanaadi avamaana parachiyunnaavu. Maasaenalatoakooda neevu bayaludaerakayunnaavu.
But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.

Shtruvulayeduta niluvakumda mmmunu venukaku paari poajaeyuchunnaavu mmmunu dvaeshimchuvaaru ishtamuvchchintlu mmmunu doachukonuchunnaaru.
Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.

Bhoajanapadaarthamugaa okadu gorrrralanu appagimchuntlu neevu mmmunu appagimchiyunnaavu anyajanulaloaniki mmmunu chedaragotti yunnaavu
Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.

Adhikamaina vela cheppaka dhanpraaptilaekayae neevae nee prajalanu amima yunnaavu
Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.

Maa poruguvaari drushtiki neevu mmmunu nimdaaspada mugaa chaesiyunnaavu maa chuttu nunna vaari drushtiki apahaasyaaspadamugaanu egataalliki kaarana mugaanu mmmunu umchi yunnaavu.
Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.

Anyajanulaloa mmmunu saametaku haetuvugaanu prajalu tala aadimchutaku kaaranamugaanu mmmunu umchiyunnaavu.
Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.

Nnnu nimdimchi dooshimchuvaari maatalu vinagaa shtruvulanubttiyu paga teerchukonuvaarinibttiyu
My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,

Naenu dinamella naa avamaanamunu talapoayuchunnaanu siggu naa mukhamunu kmmiyunnadi.
For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.

Idamtayu maa meediki vchchinanu maemu ninnu maruva laedu nee nibamdhana meeri droahulamu kaalaedu.
All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.

Maa hrudayamu venukaku maralipoalaedu maa adugulu nee maargamunu vidichi tolagipoalaedu.
Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;

Ayitae nkkalunnachoata neevu mmmunu bahugaa nalipiyunnaavu gaadhaamdhakaaramuchaeta mmmunu kppiyunnaavu
Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

Maa daevuni naamamunu maemu marachiyunnayedala anyadaevatalatttu maa chaetulu chaapiyunnayedal
If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;

Hrudaya rahsyamulu erigina daevudu aa samgatini parishoadhimpaka maanunaa?
Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

Ninnubtti dinamella maemu vadhimpabaduchunnaamu vadhaku siddhamaina gorrrralamani maemu emchabadu chunnaamu
Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.

Prabhuvaa, maelkonumu neevaela nidrimchuchunnaavu? Lemmu nityamu mmmunu vidanaadakumu.
Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.

Nee mukhamunu nee vaela maruguparachi yunnaavu? Maa baadhanu maaku kalugu himsanu neevaela marachi yunnaavu?
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?

Maa praanamu naelaku krumgiyunnadi maa shareeramu naelanu pttiyunnadi.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.

Maa sahaayamunaku lemmu nee krupanubtti mmmunu vimoachimpumu.
Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies' sake.
